Resident in Counseling

Individual experiences, trauma, identity, relationships, neurobiology, meaning-making, and overarching systems all shape our identities and the ways we move through the world. I believe that therapy is the process of understanding these factors that leads us towards a path of change.

I strive to create a sense of safety in the clinical space that will allow you to experiment with new ways of being and challenge you to grow. I effectively build rapport, meet your pace, address relational needs, and discuss changes within the therapeutic alliance in order to foster trust. Therapy is different for everyone and I adjust my approach to prioritize your concerns. I engage in creative therapies that utilize tools from Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), trauma-informed, and attachment-based frameworks.

It is deeply important to me to validate the experiences of people within marginalized groups and acknowledge how systemic oppression influences mental health. I have in-depth passion and experience working with people of color, disabled clients, LGBTQIA+ clients, clients from non-Western cultural backgrounds, and clients exploring their personal identities. The skills I have cultivated allow me to address your needs in an individual manner while also accounting for relevant sociocultural factors that impact you and our work together.

I work with clients navigating comorbidities of mood, anxiety, personality, or trauma disorders as well as those seeking to integrate neurotypes such as ADHD and autism.
